Playoffs Finals:  September 12, 2013
FU came ready to play in a rematch from its round 1 encounter with DF.  On DF's map selection, MACTF06 the score FU looked poised to give DF it's first loss of the playoffs, but it came down to the buzzer as DF barely sneaked by with a 1 cap lead. 

If seemed DF took all the wind out of FU's sails as they moved on to mercy-rule FU in FU's map pick LM22.   Great games!

Playoffs Round 3:  September 9, 2013
FU climb out of the Loser's Bracket to take on LDR who were defeated by DF in the second round.

Due to personal issues, Nataq was forced to miss this match-up.  He was sorely missed as LDR couldn't put it together without their main FC.  After being mercied in the first map, LDR put on a good show in the second, but their playoff run ends as FU take them 4-3 on SMAP33.

Playoffs Round 2:  Aug 22 & Sept 3, 2013
LDR move on from the first round to face DF, but aren't able to repeat their success.  DF takes the round in two maps to move on to the finals. 

FU and MR meet in the losers bracket and go to three games in some of the closest playoff matches to date.  FU ends MR's playoff hopes taking the tie-breaker map with another tie leaving pts to decide the match.

Playoffs Round 1:  August 20, 2013
The first round of the playoffs was not without its upsets and issues.  On the one server, FU and DF run into connection issues in the first map force them to play a second 10 minute half.  The teams forget to change the time and FU concedes the loss 6-1 on the second. 

LDR create a splash by taking two games from the favorites MR.

Season 5 - Weeks 9-11: 
I left for a two week vacation to the land of the rising sun, so when I got back we ran through three weeks worth of games to round out the regular season right before many of us shipped off for Quakecon. 

Some close games during these weeks.  Medicated Rebels finish the season as the favorites leading into the playoffs.

Season 5 - Week 8:  July 1, 2013
Tonight we had Week 8's 2v2s.  LDR and DF go first.  eM and Lequen put on a good fight but couldn't get the tech advantage and fall 3-1 on LM49.  They come back full force and take SMAP14 8-0, but fall behind again on LM47 6-1. 

MR show some solid teamwork and elusive tactics to sneak by on LM49 1-0 and carry that momentum to grab 2pts with an 8-0 victory on SMAP14.

Season 5 - Week 7:  June 25, 2013
Fragger's United are the big winners this week.  With Zest and Lequen subbing in for Silk, they pull off 3 wins to move up in the standings.  In the process, FU hands a humbling defeat to the league's 1st place team who struggled in the game with 2 subs filling in for tKin and PA. 

DF split their week with a win and a loss while LDR falls behind with 3 straight losses.

Season 5 - Week 6:  June 18, 2013
3 of week 6 games were played tonight. 

DF started the night with an 8-1 win over LDR due in large part to strong tech-possession and regen control on LMCTF32.

Meanwhile, MR carry momentum from their 6-3 victory over FU to take another 2pts from DF to extend its lead in the standings.

Season 5 - Week 5:  June 13, 2013
A server crash mid-way through the first game throws team FU out of their rhythm.  The restart spoils the night for FU as they let one slip away falling 2-3 vs. LDR.

MR is the big winner this week, grabbing two wins with authority shutting out both df and LDR 5-0 and 8-0 respectively

DF and LDR each split the week with a win and a loss.

Season 5 - Week 4:  June 09, 2013
The first of two split competitions and each team gets one 1 and a loss this week.

LDR and DF take wins in their 2v2s, while each teams 3v3s fall to their opponents.  Catalyst subs for Lorax, but couldn't help LDR against MR.
 
FU get their 2nd win this season as Maxim, Catalyst and Jahmaii bounce back from a loss in game 1 to take the next two vs. Jab, Dash and Buzzkill.

Season 5 - Week 3:  May 30, 2013
Lots of action this week with games on Tuesday and Thursday.  After getting mercy-ruled in their 1st game, FU responds with an impressive performance on SMAP23 earning them their first victory.

DF is the big winner this week taking points in wins against LDR and FU.  Medicated Rebels's win and OT loss gives them 3pts while LDR, playing without eM, goes home empty-handed.

Season 5 - Week 2:  May 23, 2013
Earlier in the week, MR face Fragger's United on sMAP20 and get out-fragged 149-109, but manage maintain a 1 cap lead as time ran out.  Tonight, MR grabs a 2nd win over a team df that had to play with 2 subs. 

Despite a valiant 1-5 comeback effort on SMAP26, FU couldn't hold on to the momentum and fall to a tough LDR team.  DF split the week winning their match on SMAP20 vs. LDR

Season 5 - Week 1:  May 16, 2013
The new Beatdown Season kicks off this week.

Derp Factor is the big winner taking 4 pts with 2 wins this week against Medicated Rebels and Fragger's United.  Each of MR and Long Distance Railations split the week with a win and a loss, while FU, forced to turn to substitutions for help this week, come up empty.
